Sports Gear Measurements and Converter
Sporting equipment uses multiple measurement systems. Convert units exactly, then apply the manufacturer's product-specific fit rules.
mm / cm / inches converter
Exact definitions: 1 cm = 10 mm and 1 inch = 25.4 mm.
What the measurements mean
Alpine ski boots
26.5 Mondopoint usually represents 26.5 cm (265 mm) nominal foot length. The 305 mm boot sole length on some boots describes the external sole, not foot length. Binding settings should be handled by a qualified technician.
Skis and snowboards
Ski and snowboard lengths are commonly expressed in centimeters. Snowboard waist widths may be expressed in millimeters. Choose size using weight, height, technique and manufacturer recommendations.
Bicycle tires
An ISO tire mark such as 28-622 indicates nominal 28 mm tire width and 622 mm bead-seat diameter. Tire compatibility depends on rim specifications, clearance and manufacturer guidance.
Helmets and protection
Helmets often use head circumference in cm. Do not choose safety gear from a generic conversion alone: follow manufacturer fit and certification guidance.
Safety and fit
Mathematical conversions do not confirm product compatibility or safety. Always check the official ski binding, helmet, skate and bike equipment instructions before use.
